On completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of; basic musical elements such as rhythm, harmony, form and structure; the Reason software system; and fundamental mixing and signal processing techniques. This course is ideal for novice users of Reason and educators who wish to incorporate technology within existing music courses (high school or post secondary).
- Class 1 - Introduction to Reason software.
- Class 2 - Drum Programming.
- Class 3 - Working with loops.
- Class 4 - Samplers and Control Voltages.
- Class 5 - Creating a sample library.
- Class 6 - Intro to synthesizers.
- Class 7 - Audio in Reason – Recording and Editing.
- Class 8 - Mixing in Reason – Basic signal routing.
- Class 9 - Mixing in Reason – Advanced signal processing.
- Class 10 - Intro to video project.
- Class 11 - Complete video and review.
