Earning your Avid Pro Tools Specialist credential proves you have the skills to record, edit, mix and complete a project using Pro Tools. It shows you understand the essential tools and workflows, giving you the ability to work a session from start to finish with confidence.

To become an Avid Certified Specialist for Pro Tools, you'll complete two courses:​

Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101)

Pro Tools Fundamentals II (PT110)

After successful completion of these courses, you'll need to pass the certification exam to earn your credential.
Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101)
Learn fundamental Pro Tools concepts and principles so that you can complete a basic project from initial setup to final mix.
Pro Tools Fundamentals II (PT110)
Expand on the basics taught in PT101 and learn core concepts and techniques needed to operate a Pro Tools system.
